BIRTHDAY
CARDS
This is a personal project. I made birthday cards as a celebration gift. Each person is given a color palette that matches their aesthetics and personality.
MID-AUTUMN LANTERN FESTIVAL
A little project on the theme of Mid-Autumn Festival. The design symbolizes the Moon in a paper cut-out effect, with cloud ornamentation, lanterns in the background and the bunny from Vietnamese folk tale. The typography also used calligraphy brush font to represent the traditional spirit.
WARTIME
NEWS PRINT
A historical mini-project in which I created a sample of how Vietnamese news print used to look like in wartime. It should have a vintage and outdated look, with the hyphens sometimes placed random in the middle of the sentence. Although the events included here were real, none of the titles or even the newspaper existed.
OLD HANOI
POSTCARDS
This is another historical mini-project. These postcards hold information and images of Hanoi Old Quarters in the French colonized era. In order to give it a vintage but neat look, I decided to keep these postcards black and white (some of them with hints of yellowed, aged paper).

LOVE & SEX EDUCATION
I was part of the design team for our high school's monthly magazine, and these were the illustration images for the article on the line between puppy love and sexual love. The inspiration were love - represented by hearts and clouds and a bright red color palette, and devil - represented by the horns, tail, the color black and a devilish figure in between two faces. The lipstick mark is added as an symbol for sexual activities.
VIETNAMESE "TET" - LUNAR NEW YEAR
Vietnamese "Tet" - is our traditional Lunar New Year Celebration.
This project was created as an introduction to the rituals and Tet customs.
STAGE CHAMPS
Stage Champs - Vinschool's Got Talent Show. This is the financial and sponsor profile of the event. With this one, I decided to go with two contrasting colors: neon blue and yellow to really demonstrate the young and energetic spirit of the show. The cover resembles the sound waves and a "partying" spirit, while the hand is "presenting" the show to the audience. Inner pages, while showing financial information, also incorporate different performances featured in the show.
